Morgan Sindall Construction has commenced construction work on Orchard View Academy, a new primary school within the Kingsbrook development in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, UK.
Construction began after Buckinghamshire Council selected Morgan Sindall Construction to deliver the project.

The school, which is scheduled for completion in mid-2026, will be managed by the Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust.
Once operational, the academy will accommodate 420 primary pupils, with the potential to expand to 630, and will also include a 60-place nursery, a 12-person special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision, and various outdoor facilities.
Procured through the Southern Construction Framework, the project involves constructing a two-storey main facility that includes classrooms for each year group, a main hall, and catering and staff areas.
The site will also feature an activity studio, a Learning Resource Centre, and dedicated spaces for teaching food technology, science, and design and technology.

By GlobalDataThe main building will further offer sensory and therapy rooms, two safe rooms, and life skills spaces.
An adjoining single-storey structure will accommodate the nursery, which will contain two playrooms, a kitchenette, and storage.
Plans for the outdoor area include a Sports England-standard pitch, a hard court, a multiuse games area, and more.

The build incorporates offsite-made timber-framed walls, which support precast hollow core concrete planks on the first floor and insulated timber roof cassettes. The design also features a precast lift shaft and staircases.
Morgan Sindall is applying its Intelligent Solutions method to meet sustainability targets in line with Buckinghamshire Council鈥檚 environmental strategy, aiming for the school to be net-zero in its operations.

Throughout the construction process, Morgan Sindall will coordinate with the community to limit disruption and create social value opportunities.
The company intends to manage site traffic to reduce impact on adjacent residential areas and the nearby secondary school.
Morgan Sindall will also work with Buckinghamshire College Group to offer training and upskilling opportunities and will use local suppliers to support the regional economy.
